Fiona is a 30-year-old professional who has bought a house (D1 energy rating) and is interested in modernising it. She is tech savvy and wants to be able to control her central heating remotely. She also wants to split her home into heating zones to reduce her gas bills.

Following a consultation, Fiona had a new 18KW boiler with two zone heating controls installed. The energy improvement and BER uplift secured grant funding of €1,490 including additional Energia support.

Credit Union Loan – Fiona borrowed €3,000 from her local credit union. As she was able to repay the loan within 12 months, the loan at 7.7%* interest rate had monthly repayments of €260.55.

Fiona received a specialised technical assessment included a Building Energy Rating after her energy upgrades were completed. Fiona’s upgraded home is now warmer and has a C1 energy rating. She will save up to 30% on her heating bills and can set her heating system remotely and create heating zones within the house.
