Lucy is a professional in her 30s who has recently purchased a mid-terraced house (90 square meters). Her home has a D1 rating and she is interested in modernizing her heating system and insulation. Lucy travels frequently for work. She wants to be able to control her heating system remotely to reduce her energy usage. Lucy also wants to split her home into heating zones to reduce her gas bills.
Following a consultation, Lucyhad a new 18KW boiler with two zone heating controls installed. She also decided to make use of significant grant funding towards having her attic insulated. The energy improvement and BER uplift secured grant funding of €2,565 including additional Energia support.

Credit Union Loan – Lucy borrowed €7,000 from her local credit union. As she was able to repay the loan within 3 years, the loan at 7.7%* interest rate had monthly repayments of €218.39.
Lucy received a specialised technical assessment including a Building Energy Rating after her energy upgrades were completed. Lucy’s upgraded home is now warmer and has a C1 energy rating. She will save up to 30% on her heating bills and can set her heating system remotely and create heating zones within the house.
