The Doyles have lived in their detached house (185 square metres) for 30 years. Their children have grown up and recently moved out. The Doyles have decided now is the perfect time to upgrade to a warmer, greener home. Their house was initially built in the 1950s and had an E2 rating.
Following a consultation and a survey, the Doyles determined that a deep retrofit project would have a huge impact on the comfort of their home.

The McCarthys are a young family who have bought their first home a couple of years ago. They live in a typical 3 bed semi-detached house (100 square metres). The house was built in the 1960s and had an E1 energy rating. Recently their home has become hard to heat. The McCarthy’s want to reduce their future energy consumption and their carbon footprint by carrying out home energy upgrades

Lucy

New Boiler, Heating Controls and Attic Insulation

Lucy is a professional in her 30s who has recently purchased a mid-terraced house (90 square metres). Her home has a D1 rating and she is interested in modernizing her heating system and insulation. Lucy travels frequently for work. She wants to be able to control her heating system remotely to reduce her energy usage. Lucy also wants to split her home into heating zones to reduce her gas bills.
Following a consultation Lucy had a new 18KW boiler with two zone heating controls installed along with new attic insulation.
